Well I know people are interested in my job, much more interested that I am in my job.  Basically I work 3 types of cases for the most part.

• Cheater Case

A husband or wife contacts us and thinks their spouse is cheating.  At this point we suggest putting a tracker on the vehicle of the cheating spouse.  You can only install a tracker legally on a vehicle you own, so if you have a girlfriend and slap a tracking device on her can and get caught.. you are gonna be in heaps of trouble.  Anyway in most cases we have a tracker and know where person is at all times.  A client will call me and say "My husband says he is at the office and will be till 9 pm" I check the tracker location and if it's somewhere else we will go and Investigate.  

• Child Custody

These are the rough ones. Usually the client is worried sick and the stress level is high for all involved. We attempt to obtain evidence of a person breaking a court order.  Some common examples may be drinking with the child, right of first refusal or having someone of the opposite sex spend the night with child present.  These always end up in court at the end so really have to mind my p's and q's.

• Insurance/Worker's Compensation.

My current company does not do many of these but I have lots of experience in them.  Basically a person gives a deposition saying what they can or can not do and a Insurance company or employer hires us to obtain contradicting evidence.  For example person says he can only walk with a cane and I get video of him bee bopping around without one.

• Others

Non competes, salesman staying at home and not making sales calls and even had a case where a woman forbid that her husband go to Hooters for lunch so I parked at a Hooter's for 2 weeks and finally caught him.

• Handling The Clients

Client's for the most part are going through one of the worst times of their lives.  We give them information but do not tell them where the spouse is or who they are with till case is over.  One thing that a certain dentist that ran over her husband taught us is that's not a good idea.

This is just a brief explanation of what I do, it's like having a cup of sand and telling you about a few grains of it.  I'll get more in dept as this blog grows but will not give out any specifics etc obviously due to confidentially clauses with clients.

Me And My Mother

My mom is my hero, she has always went above and beyond for her children.  And now for her grandchildren.  Me and my mom have a love relationship but also an antagonistic one.  When I visit her home I always feel uneasy like there is tension in the air.  I think because one misspoken word and I'll hurt her feelings. I'm not sure if the other children have that with her, though her and my older sister have had fights at levels me and mom have never approached.  As I've gotten older and used to being alone I'm used to doing everything myself this is the biggest tension me and mom have.  I won't let her help me at her house and she won't let me not let her help me at her house.  So it leads to me saying something smart ass and feelings are hurt but not for long.  There is also tension from my youth and things that went down but as I gotten older I have learned to forgive and try to forget.  There are two names I never want to hear again and they get brought up every time  I visit my mom and it makes it hard to forget.  I know my mom is probably reading this and if she is I want a truce.  I'm gonna let you be you, and I'll be me when I'm not around you.  This may seem mean, it's not meant to be, it's meant to be kind.  I'm a bitter, pissed off, human being who hates people in general and sometimes that is directed towards people I love.  By the way, I love being bitter, mean and hateful.. not sure why but it gets me out of bed in the morning.  So mom, i love you, you are my hero, I hope any misdeeds we have done to one another can be forgiven and I'll try to be more of a people person when I'm over cause we should be able to enjoy our visits without me being a dick head.

Two River's Run Through It

The friends of my youth who could not wait till get away from Brazoria County have all settled back there.  I'm not sure if anywhere in the Country that such a high percentage of people live within 20 miles of their High School 25 years later.  I often think about moving back but I love the anonymity  Houston provides. People only know what I tell them and I can go to eat, store etc without running into 10 people I know.  I"m not sure if I could ever live in a small pond again, there was a time but that time is long gone.  Maybe one day when I'm old and have a screw or two left rolling around in my head.  I do love going back to visit but don't go down there more than 4-5 times a year.  Most of my memories of Brazoria County are positive and I did cut a rut there a time or two in the early 2000's when I lived at the notorious Fisherman's Wharf Apartments.

I have no judgement of those who moved back, familiarity brings comfort to me it brings boredom. If not for Nicholas I would probably be a rolling stone and living who knows where and moving often but I'll always stay within driving distance of him even if he leaves the state with his mom which has almost happened a few times.

The Night Before Monday And All Through The House...

I can't enjoy Sunday's anymore (well till NFL starts) cause around noon I realize Monday is coming at me like a run away freight train.  It's not so much the work, it's the traffic that I have to usually fight going from point A to point B, C and D etc.  Unless someone has to live in a big city I have no idea why you would.  While there is everything close by it can take you 30 minutes to drive 5 miles, often which offsets any proximity greatness.

Today I took my son to see the latest incarnation of Transformers.  I have not been a big fan of the Transformer franchise but this one was way better than previous ones and much much longer.. about 3 hours including previews.

Well this blog sucks but it reflects the day, boring yet relaxing and dreading......Monday


Oh, Mexico lost in World Cup today, gonna be some pissed off short brown people in H-town.

Fat to Muscle

Well it's Saturday, this time next week everyone will be enjoying their 4th of July Weekend.  Well except me, well I'll be enjoying it if I'm not working with spending time with my son Nick.  Anyway about 3 years ago I had a bad car wreck.  I was at a red light and a large truck rear ended me going about 45 miles per hour. For the past 3 years I could not weight train cause lifting anything heavy hurt like hell. I have some shit our of wack in my spine.  Lately though the pain has been subsiding and I'm gonna give it a go. This will be about my 20th "give it a go" in past year.  Once you get out of the habit of going to the gym it's very hard to get back into it.  When you used to be a muscle head and to now be a flab head it's hard to think about starting over.  One thing I am going to discuss in this blog is my journey from Muscle Man, To Flab Man and hopefully back to Muscle Man.  Being in shape really makes you have high mojo and being out of shape makes you want to just watch t.v. and order in.  Until my car wreck lifting weights was something I did 4-5 times a week for 17 years, so needless to say it was a habit. I was never to tired or to busy to miss the gym, now any excuse will work and I miss.  Wish me luck, hopefully I'll turn into a inspirational journey and not just opt for LIPO in 5 years.

Smart Phone.........why you die on me?

About 2 months ago I traded in my Iphone 5 for a Samsung Note 3. I love the Note 3, huge display, usually very fast, great for watching movies so on and so on.. But there is always a catch, the battery would die on me after 2-3 hours of heavy use, lots of times when I was stuck without a charger. I purchased this item from Amazon.com and now my battery last 2 days one one charge. Yes it makes your phone a little bulkier but well worth it.

Nick the musician

My 8 year old playing a mean straw. Nick is the reason I get up in the morning, our weekends together leave us both in stitches. From burps to fart contests which he usually wins, he is a joy.

   My name is Robert, but I grew up in a little town in Texas. My sister nicknamed me Bubba and it stuck.  I was okay with that name as a kid but as I got older and went into the Military and later in to business I ran from that name like the plaque.  Now that I'm 40 and getting into my "don't give two shits" what people think about me part of my life (oh it's glorious)  I kinda like that name again. I still don't use in business world but I introduce myself to new friends as Robert  but tell them my friends call me Bubba...

I spent 5 years in the Military and have been a Private Investigator since 1998, except for 1 year when I decided to be a truck driver, what a long year it was.  I recently built a website that started as a fan page.
