How to make a successful fan page to promote your business or websites.

If you are just making a fan page for fun, this does not pertain to you and good luck.

1. Facebook Ads

They work, and work well and they are cheap. If you want your fan page out there, set aside 100-150 a month and run ads. You can be very precise and make sure they only run where you want them to. IE 25 miles from center of Lake Jackson. The more people you get to your fan page, the more you can redirect to your website/business.

2. Don't Buy Facebook Likes

You may want to have 500-1000 fan likes quickly on your fan page to make it seem more popular and well known. There are 1000's of services you can pay to get 500 likes in hours etc. In the end though it's against Facebook Terms of Service and Secondly all the "Like Farms" are in India and Malayasia, so congratulations you have 500 new fans who will never interact with your page and or more than likely fake accounts.

3. Keep A Eye On Your Comments

If people are trashing your page or website or business delete them. It's not a public forum, it's your Facebook page and your business. They have other means to disclose their displeasure with your business by phone, email, messaging etc.

4. About The People You Ban

They now will report your post and try to get your page shut down. Every time you ban someone you have a new enemy. No matter how good your product is they will say "you suck"

I Wrote this short note because most of the businesses i promote for free have 1-2 hundred fans on their fan page. You can Quadruple that with 15-20 dollars on Facebook ads. You can also make a post about your product and pay a small fee for Facebook to boost your post to people not associated with your page, that in turn may have them like it.

There is not greater platform from for marketing than Facebook, literally you can spend 100.00 and have no one know about your business to having over a 1000 fans on your page you can sway into doing business with you in under a week.

A nightly skin care routine

As you age your skin changes. Its important to develop a good skin care routine that will help with problem spots, breakouts, dry skin, under the eyes, pores etc.

The World Wide Wild West Web

On April 4th, 2014 I was having lunch and over heard two women whispering. Must of been good gossip. Like a bolt of lightning thrown down by Zeus, it hit me, what is the most gossip ridden county in the good ol United States? Brazoria County, where other peoples lives are the evening news around dinner tables. So off to build the confession page I went.

I gave Facebook 20 dollars to promote it, added all my friends and off I went with the help of one of my best friends. The first day confessions were not coming in, even though the rate of fans was growing at a staggering 2 likes a minute. We decided to submit some confessions to get the ball rolling, some were real confessions, some were exaggerated and some were pulled out of thin air, and it worked, the confessions started rolling in, by the 100's. and I posted them all.

By the time the weekend had past, we had about 1500 "likes" and then the Facebook police struck. My Friend JCB got his account permanently banned due to photos and comments he had posted most during a epic battle with one of the fans on page. My account got a 12 hour ban and 3 more bans that week, we pissed off a lot of people the first few days and they were getting their revenge trying to shut down page.

I knew at this time I needed to make the page into a website, I figured we could have free reign without worrying about Facebook. I went to web.com and purchased BrazoriaCountyConfessions.com and started looking for web developer by posting on fan page. About that time I noticed a message from a guy who was interested in making website. To avoid paying a upfront fee I suggested us being business partners and would give him 34-40 percent of any future profits and I would handle the hosting costs etc.

Well after a month or so went by HE (the web developer) suggested that instead of just focusing on Brazoria County we should make a nation wide site, I thought that was a good plan. So I went to Web.com and purchased CountyConfessions.com.

The web developer/business partner was having difficulty getting host published on Web.com and thought we should transfer domain to http://www.smarterasp.net/. He put in for a transfer which He paid for (I told him i could send him check to pay for it but he said not to worry about it), I approved transfer of countyconfesssions.com and off it went. Once it got to new host he seemed to have a much easier time getting things published. He also put the site in his name and email. Which was no biggie to me, he would always tell me "don't worry it's your baby" when i asked about such things.

I am not gonna delve into the web developers personal life etc that would be a dick head move, but for whatever reason his motivation about the site would vary tremendously. I eventually realized that being partners with him would never lead anywhere and I sent him email and message that I wanted out. This was done around midnight and was not the best way to handle it but i was so sick of nothing being done or fixed on the site I had enough. I put in a transfer of CountyConfessions.com to GoDaddy.com and it sent him a email to approve transfer. He denied transfer, after that I told him he could keep site and wished him good luck and hoped he became a billionaire with it.

At first I was upset of some of the stuff him and his wife were posting about me on facebook but after a few days I understood and now longer care. While i was not happy with how he went about working on site (I wanted someone to be obsessed over next 2 years) He still worked on it alot. Now you can judge for yourself if this blog is true, or stuff said by them is true, in the end I don't care who you believe. This is the whole truth but there is no way for you to know that.

Once this all went down he told me how sorry I was gonna be to lose him, and over the next 24 hours he made a bunch of changes that I asked for, for past month. I knew then that I made right choice and would never go back. I can't have someone who just develops sites when pissed off or motivated by firing.

In the end I'm our about $400.00 for the site, I spend about 150 in Google and Facebook advertising, I paid $120.00 for a android app that was sent to him and I never heard about since. Along with merchandise i purchased etc, business cards, fliers. But like a bad divorce you just say "take everything i just want out" which is what I'm doing.

Over the next few months I will be making a new confession site CountyConfess.com, I will also be releasing a dating site, it may be for BC only to start. And I'll keep coming up with ideas and having someone put them out there on the www for me. You may choose to visit them, or not, I wont hold it against ya either way.
